Lonis Gets a Clue by perryjamail

Format: Commander

Commander: Lonis, Cryptozoologist

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Lonis, Cryptozoologist drives a Simic Clue-theft value deck. The primary plan generates Clues from nontoken creature ETBs, then taps Lonis to sacrifice X Clues and steal a nonland permanent with mana value X or less from an opponent's top X cards. Token doublers and investigate payoffs accelerate this engine. Secondary paths win without Lonis: Kinnan plus Basalt Monolith makes infinite colorless mana to fuel Walking Ballista or Urza, and artifact payoffs like Kappa Cannoneer, Junk Winder, and Cyberdrive Awakener turn Clues and Treasures into a lethal flying board. Lonis acts as draw and theft engine; Kinnan is the hidden commander that ramps, enables the infinite, and cheats creatures into play.
