Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck uses Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER to convert creature deaths into steady card draw, life drain, and board control. The primary strategy establishes recurring token generators such as Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia and Ophiomancer to fuel Sephiroth's attack triggers. Symmetrical edict creatures including Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter, and Accursed Marauder keep opposing creature boards clear while accelerating Sephiroth toward his four-death transformation threshold. Transforming into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel yields an unremovable double-drain emblem and a 5/5 flying threat that draws cards on every attack. Heavy hitters like Syr Konrad, the Grim, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Living Death provide burst life loss to close out the game by turn nine. While the deck boasts strong recursion and creature removal, it lacks stack interaction and artifact/enchantment removal.
