Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius flying-tribal tempo and combat-control strategy commanded by Kastral, the Windcrested. The primary objective is establishing an early aerial presence with low-cost flying creatures and token producers, then casting Kastral to generate compounding value through combat damage triggers. Kastral continually pumps the board with +1/+1 counters, draws cards, and reanimates fallen Birds to sustain relentless pressure. The deck reinforces its combat plan with potent defensive and taxing stax elements, including Magus of the Moat, Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, which lock down ground attackers and stifle opposing mana efficiency. Card advantage engines such as Bident of Thassa, Coastal Piracy, and Trouble in Pairs keep the hand full of interaction and protection. With versatile defensive tools like Flawless Maneuver, Teferi's Protection, and Grand Abolisher, the deck protects its aerial army as it closes out the game through overwhelming evasive combat damage.
