Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos Goblin aristocrats and counter-synergy deck led by The Great Goblin. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-cost Goblin creatures and token generators like Dragon Fodder and Goblin Rally, then capitalizing on counter placement and death triggers. Whenever counters are placed on your Goblins, The Great Goblin deals direct burn damage to opponents, while dying Goblins generate temporary card advantage from exile. Midrange threats such as Maha, Its Feathers Night, Smaug, the Great Calamity, and Goblin Dark-Dwellers provide top-end board presence, backed by spot removal like Hero's Downfall and Bilbo's Deadly Slice. Because the deck runs a low land count of 30 lands and high-cost ramp artifacts, mana velocity is modest, leading to an assembly window around Turn 6. The deck closes games around Turn 11 via accumulated combat damage, menace evasion from Goblin War Drums, and a finishing Exsanguinate.
