Jodah, Identity Crisis by sock_exe

Format: Commander

Commander: Jodah, Archmage Eternal

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Jodah, Archmage Eternal is a five-color 'pay WUBRG instead' engine. The deck ramps into Jodah early, then cheats out expensive payoffs such as Blightsteel Colossus, Omniscience, and Apex Devastator for WUBRG. Fist of Suns and Leyline of Mutation duplicate Jodah's ability, so the primary plan has redundancy. Secondary paths use attack triggers from Etali, Primal Storm and Maelstrom Archangel to cast spells free, plus Door to Nothingness as a targeted lose effect. The closest thing to a hidden commander is Maelstrom Archangel, since it independently cheats spells on combat damage. Avacyn and Progenitus make the board resilient; the deck wins through sequential infect attacks or Door, not through an infinite combo.
