Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is commanded by Mishra, Claimed by Gix and executes an aggressive go-wide token swarm strategy combined with direct burn and life drain. The deck builds an early battlefield using low-cost token generators such as Bitterblossom, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, and Hanweir Garrison. Once Mishra, Claimed by Gix enters the battlefield on Turn 4, every attack trigger drains opponents based on the total number of attacking creatures while gaining equal life. Non-combat burn amplifiers like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Impact Tremors, and Marionette Apprentice compound this clock by converting token creation and death into direct damage. Card flow engines like Skullclamp, Gix, Yawgmoth Praetor, and Grim Hireling sustain resources through combat damage and sacrifice. While the list lacks stack countermagic and is exposed to creature board wipes, its redundant token producers, explosive finishers like Song of Totentanz and Moraug, Fury of Akoum, and meld potential with Phyrexian Dragon Engine deliver a fast, resilient clock.
