Deck overview

Queen Marchesa leads a Mardu attrition deck built around monarchy card advantage and incremental, table-wide damage. The primary plan is to claim the crown early, hold it behind pillow-fort effects, and convert tokens, enchantments, and spells into life loss through Purphoros, Impact Tremors, Grim Guardian, Mirkwood Bats, and extort. Secondary lines use draw punishment (Underworld Dreams, Sheoldred, Kederekt Parasite) and goad effects to keep opponents busy. Marchesa's combination of haste and deathtouch makes immediate crowning easy, while her Assassin tokens are mostly a deterrent once the crown is held. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built around Marchesa's monarch role.
