Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Faerie tribal strategy focused on flash timing, tempo control, and evasive token swarms. Commanded by Oona, Queen of the Fae, the deck functions largely independently of its 6-mana commander during early and middle turns, instead leaning on low-cost flying rogues and token generators such as Bitterblossom and Bitterbloom Bearer. Lieutenants like Alela, Cunning Conqueror, Tegwyll, Duke of Splendor, and Talion, the Kindly Lord reward casting interaction on opponents' turns with steady card flow and board expansion. The deck maintains control via an extensive suite of countermagic, notably Spellstutter Sprite, Mana Drain, and Glen Elendra Archmage. Once an evasive aerial army is established, it closes the game through tribal pump effects, Obyra, Dreaming Duelist life loss triggers, or an explosive extra-turn turn cycle powered by a prowled Notorious Throng.
