Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu creature-cheat strategy helmed by Kaalia of the Vast. The game plan focuses on deploying Kaalia ahead of curve using two-mana artifacts and rituals, then declaring an attack to cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payoffs like Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Master of Cruelties establish immediate must-answer pressure, allowing the deck to eliminate players through overwhelming aerial combat damage. While the deck boasts high redundancy among heavy threats, it relies heavily on Kaalia surviving a full turn cycle or finding one of its few haste enablers like Lightning Greaves. Lacking low-cost tutors, it depends on natural draws for protection and card replenishment.
