Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive Voltron game plan helmed by Sergeant John Benton. By pairing an ultra-low mana curve with dense 1-drop ramp, the deck deploys Benton on Turn 2 or 3. Built-in haste and trample ensure immediate attacks, while Benton's combat damage trigger converts cheap pump spells into overwhelming card advantage. Once the engine connects, the player's hand overflows with instant-speed protection and further stat boosters, enabling lethal 21-commander-damage knockouts as early as Turn 4. Because the deck eliminates opponents sequentially through combat, it must survive two full response cycles to close the game on Turn 6. The primary strategic hurdle is that Benton shares his card draw with opponents, directly fueling opposing hands with potential interaction. To navigate this, the deck leans into a dense network of 1-mana defensive spells to keep Benton untouched through three consecutive knockout swings.
