Deck overview

This deck is helmed by Kibo, Uktabi Prince, a Gruul commander that blends symmetrical artifact donation with brutal asymmetric punishment and +1/+1 counter aggression. The strategy revolves around giving opponents Banana, Treasure, and Food tokens, only to immediately weaponize their existence through mass artifact destruction spells like Vandalblast, Meltdown, and Structural Assault. When opposing artifacts hit the graveyard, Kibo pumps your Ape and Monkey board into towering combat threats with trample enablers like Kodama of the West Tree. Stax-adjacent pieces such as Bloodroot Apothecary, Manglehorn, and Titania's Song heavily penalize opponents for using their tokens. With redundant card-burst spells like Rishkar's Expertise and Viridian Revel, the deck rapidly replenishes its hand while applying relentless pressure. Although vulnerable to well-timed spot removal before counters accumulate, The Ozolith, Heroic Intervention, and Tyrant Guard help preserve momentum to close out the game.
