Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet combo-aggro list centered on The Locust God. The primary game plan accelerates into the commander using efficient 2-CMC mana rocks, then weaponizes mass card-draw effects and wheels to create an overwhelming army of 1/1 flying, hasty Insect tokens. The deck features a compact two-card infinite combo with Sage of the Falls, which triggers repeated draws and token creation upon entering, allowing the pilot to draw their entire library and attack for lethal on the same turn. Secondary win conditions include group burn effects such as Impact Tremors, Molten Gatekeeper, and Psychosis Crawler, which turn wheel spells like Windfall and Tolarian Winds into direct damage bursts. The deck maintains steady resilience through The Locust God's built-in death trigger returning it to hand, backed by an efficient package of low-mana counterspells and removal to protect the engine and disrupt opponents.
