Deck overview

Loki, the Deceiver commands a Grixis Villain typal deck centered on aggressive combat cloning, evasive token generation, and steady card advantage. The strategy establishes early mana acceleration with artifacts and cost-reducing Villains like Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord, then deploys formidable threats such as Ultron the Annihilator, The Master, Multiplied, and Doctor Doom. Once Loki enters combat, his attack trigger creates nonlegendary token copies of your strongest Villains, immediately doubling enter-the-battlefield triggers, attack abilities, and combat pressure while drawing cards whenever Villains deal combat damage to opposing players. End-turn token preservation engines like Sundial of the Infinite and Obeka, Brute Chronologist turn temporary illusions into permanent armies. The deck closes games through wide, evasive combat damage bolstered by typal anthems like The Squadron Sinister and Doctor Octopus, Master Planner, backed by flexible spot removal, board wipes, and connive-based hand sculpting.
