Deck overview

This deck is a resilient Grixis Midrange and Reanimator strategy piloted by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It leverages nine copies of Nazgûl to trigger the Ring mechanics consistently, fueling Sauron's ability to discard and draw four cards. The deck ramps efficiently during the first three turns with low-cost mana rocks and Dark Ritual, casting Sauron on Turn 4. Once assembled, Sauron generates Orc Armies from opposing spells while cycling through cards to fill the graveyard with heavy reanimation targets like Archfiend of Ifnir, Terror of the Peaks, and Razaketh, the Foulblooded. A deep suite of efficient counterspells protects key setup turns, while Archfiend of Ifnir and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse convert Sauron's card draw into asymmetric board control and life swings. The deck closes games around Turn 7 through overwhelming combat pressure from scaling Wraiths and reanimated threats.
