Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Meren of Clan Nel Toth leads a Golgari sacrifice-and-reanimation deck. The primary plan is to generate early experience counters by sacrificing cheap creatures, then use Meren's end step to recur value creatures such as Blood Artist, Fleshbag Marauder, and Eternal Witness. Secondary paths use Buried Alive and Protean Hulk to set up an Ashnod's Altar, Pitiless Plunderer, and Reassembling Skeleton loop with a death-trigger drain, or mass-reanimate with Living Death and finish through Gray Merchant and Jarad. Jarad acts as a hidden secondary commander, turning a stocked graveyard into direct damage. The deck is resilient to normal removal but is soft to graveyard hate and has almost no stack protection.
