Deck overview

This deck leverages Aragorn, the Uniter at the helm of an innovative engine running 23 copies of Sphinx's Approach. Early turns establish mana acceleration using efficient 1-mana ramp spells and cost-reducers such as Sapphire Medallion and Thunderclap Drake. Once Aragorn or draw engines like Matoya, Archon Elder are active, casting Sphinx's Approach provides instant-speed card advantage while Aragorn's blue trigger scrys through the library to find further copies and push Sphinx creature cards to the bottom. Casting Thrumming Stone enables ripple 4 across the deck's dense Approach count, rapidly filling the graveyard to exile batches of five and cheat an armada of high-impact Sphinxes directly onto the battlefield. Payoffs like Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, Denzilore Fatehold, and Dream Trawler assemble overwhelming board presence that attacks for lethal damage across all three opponents on the following turn.
