The Jolly Balloon Man - 3 Combos by user8663305

Format: Commander

Commander: The Jolly Balloon Man

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Jolly Balloon Man is a Boros ETB-copy engine: for one mana and a tap, it makes a hasty 1/1 flying copy of another creature that dies at the next end step. The deck is built around that ability, packing a dense suite of enters-the-battlefield value creatures and token producers so each activation either draws cards, ramps, clears blockers, or snowballs the board. The primary paths to victory are a wide hasty token combat kill, often finished under Adriana, Captain of the Guard's melee anthem, and an infinite Balloon-copy loop involving Village Bell-Ringer, a creature mana dork, and Molten Gatekeeper that drains the table. Ertha Jo, Frontier Mentor acts as a hidden second engine by doubling the commander's activations. The deck has almost no stack interaction and no real tutors, so it wins by out-tempoing opponents with repeated ETB triggers rather than by reliably assembling a protected combo.
