Mana burn by Pho300enix

Format: Commander

Commander: Yurlok of Scorch Thrash

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund "mana-burn" group-slug deck helmed by Yurlok of Scorch Thrash. The central plan is to push the entire table into a flood of bonus mana - via Heartbeat of Spring, Mana Flare, Dictate of Karametra, Zhur-Taa Ancient, Overabundance, Eladamri's Vineyard, and Shizuko, Caller of Autumn - and then weaponize that generosity with Yurlok's unspent-mana life-loss trigger plus pain permanents like Manabarbs, Burning Earth, Power Surge, and Citadel of Pain. The deck finishes with massive X-spells (Crackle with Power, Exsanguinate, Torment of Hailfire) amplified by Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Wound Reflection, or by assembling an infinite-mana/activation loop with Staff of Domination or Umbral Mantle on Yurlok. The commander is simultaneously a mana engine, a burn source, and a combo piece, while the 99 carries a deep redundant acceleration package that keeps the plan alive even if he is removed.
