Deck overview

This deck is an Esper reanimator and token-cheat strategy piloted by Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The central game plan uses cheap discard outlets, cantrips, and looters to discard massive, game-altering creature threats—such as Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Archon of Cruelty, and Archfiend of Despair—and pay {2}{U} to create 4/4 Zombie token copies of them as early as Turn 4. Once a dominant threat enters the battlefield, the deck establishes immediate card advantage and hand denial, locking opponents out of resources while expanding its board presence. Supporting elements include passive protection like Gleaming Overseer to grant tokens hexproof, asymmetric stax pieces like Phyrexian Censor, and backup reanimation spells like Victimize. The deck systematically dismantles opposing life totals through evasive combat damage and life-drain triggers, closing the game around Turn 6.
