Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity spellslinger combo list that maximizes the prepare mechanic under the helm of Codie, Ravenous Codex and companion Jegantha, the Wellspring. By deploying dense 1-2 CMC ramp and an optimized 5-color mana base, the deck consistently sets up an operational engine by Turn 4. The primary win condition leverages Displacer Kitten alongside prepare creatures that enter the battlefield prepared, such as Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song. Casting the prepared spell triggers Displacer Kitten to flicker the creature, re-preparing it immediately while the spell generates net positive mana. This establishes an infinite loop that produces unbounded mana, infinite storm, and endless ETB triggers. Blinking utility creatures like Emeritus of Woe // Demonic Tutor and Goblin Glasswright // Craft with Pride allows the deck to search up and cast lethal finishers such as Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate or ping the table with Guttersnipe in a single turn.
