Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Faerie tribal tempo deck commanded by Alela, Cunning Conqueror. The game plan focuses on playing at instant speed, passing the turn with open mana to cast flash creatures, cantrips, and interactive spells during opponents' turns. Each first spell on an opposing turn triggers Alela to build an army of 1/1 flying Faerie Rogue tokens. When these Faeries deal combat damage, Alela goads opposing threats, steering hostile attacks away from you and forcing opponents to whittle down each other's life totals. Card draw engines like Kindred Discovery and Slitherwisp refuel the hand, while anthems like Glen Elendra Liege and Scion of Oona scale the evasive token swarm into a lethal combat clock. Although resilient in incremental advantage, the deck closes games over several combat cycles rather than through burst combos, leaving it susceptible to sweepers if countermagic is unavailable.
