Deck overview

This deck is an Esper spellslinger control build piloted by Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The strategy focuses on casting noncreature spells with mana value 3 or greater to drain opponents for 2 life while bolstering your own life total and drawing cards when significant life loss occurs. Attaching Curiosity effects like Ophidian Eye or Helm of the Ghastlord to Y'shtola supercharges this engine, drawing cards for each opponent damaged whenever a qualifying spell is cast. Defensive fortifications such as Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Authority of the Consuls slow down aggressive opponents while you hold up flexible interaction like Void Rend, Deadly Rollick, and Rewind. As your life buffer climbs into commanding territory, the deck closes the game with massive Exsanguinate or Debt to the Deathless sorceries, or by using Aetherflux Reservoir to eliminate players directly.
