Deck overview

This deck leverages the partner pairing of Leonardo, the Balance and Michelangelo, the Heart to build a 5-color aggressive +1/+1 counter engine fueled by token creation. Michelangelo reliably generates a Food token on turn 4 during the post-combat main phase, which immediately triggers Leonardo to distribute +1/+1 counters across your entire team. The deck amplifies this synergy with counter multipliers such as Hardened Scales, Corpsejack Menace, and Doubling Season, as well as token-based value engines like Academy Manufactor and The Ooze. Evasion and explosive damage finishes are provided by Leonardo's WUBRG activated ability, Raphael, the Muscle, and Raphael, the Nightwatcher. The list sustains its momentum through combat-based card draw engines and preserves its developed board using flexible protective spells like Heroic Intervention, Inspiring Call, and Kutzil.
