Deck overview

This Golgari deck helmed by Dina, Essence Brewer executes a synergistic aristocrats and lifegain strategy. The early game focuses on deploying ramp and repeatable creature token engines such as Ophiomancer, Blight Mound, or Awakening Zone. Once Dina, Essence Brewer enters the battlefield on Turn 3 or 4, each sacrificed creature draws a card while her activated ability converts excess power into lifegain and +1/+1 counters. The deck transitions into the mid-game by establishing continuous drain effects via Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Dina, Soul Steeper, or by compounding board presence with Tendershoot Dryad and Beledros Witherbloom. Victory is secured through overwhelming combat overruns led by Blossoming Bogbeast or Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, supplemented by massive aristocrat drain bursts. While resilient against single-target removal thanks to deep graveyard recursion, the plan is vulnerable to opposing board wipes due to a lack of instant-speed protection spells.
