RE: animator WitherBloom by Hatiwnat

Format: Commander

Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a classic Golgari reanimator/value engine deck helmed by Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The primary game plan leverages Meren s experience counter ability to recur creatures from the graveyard every turn, creating a steady stream of board presence and card advantage. The deck fills its own graveyard through self-mill (Cynical Loner, Lively Dirge), sacrifice outlets (Ruthless Technomancer, Dina, Essence Brewer), and tutors (Buried Alive). It then reanimates high-impact threats such as Jumbo Cactuar, Massacre Wurm, or Summon: Primal Odin to close out the game via combat damage or the Zantetsuken lose the game trigger. A dense subtheme of Pest/Insect tokens (The Swarmweaver, Blech, Loafing Pest, Pest Rescuer) provides incremental life gain and +1/+1 counter synergies. While there are no infinite combos, the deck exhibits strong inevitability through superior recursion and attrition, aiming to out-value opponents over the long game.
