Commander: Doran, Besieged by Time

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Doran, Besieged by Time leads an Abzan toughness-matters beatdown strategy that turns high-toughness creatures into cheap, massive offensive threats. The commander reduces casting costs for big-bodied creatures and grants dynamic stat buffs during combat equal to the difference between power and toughness. Early turns focus on mana acceleration and deploying efficient defenders and Treefolk. Midgame transitions into establishing alternative toughness damage engines like Assault Formation and Doran, the Siege Tower, or overwhelming the board with cards like Last March of the Ents and Indomitable Ancients. The deck closes games through explosive unblockable or trample swings, Stoneskin bursts, and direct life loss from Tree of Perdition.
