Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Grixis Midrange Reanimator strategy helmed by Sauron, the Dark Lord. The deck accelerates mana during the early turns to deploy Sauron on Turn 4 or 5. Once on the battlefield, Sauron punishes opposing spellcasting by amassing an Orc Army, which then triggers the Ring's temptation upon dealing combat damage. This allows the pilot to discard their hand and draw four fresh cards each turn, constantly replenishing answers and fueling the graveyard. The deck leverages an elite suite of free interaction—such as Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Deadly Rollick—to protect its development without slowing down. It finishes games through relentless combat damage from massive Orc Armies, legendary Dragons, and high-impact reanimated threats like Toxrill, the Corrosive or Rise of the Dark Realms.
