Thranduil by Gohzael

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking turns the graveyard into a second hand: every Elf card in the yard contributes its activated abilities to the commander. The primary plan is to mill or tutor Devoted Druid, Immaculate Magistrate, and Jarad into the graveyard, then use Thranduil to make an Elf arbitrarily large and sacrifice it with Jarad's ability to eliminate all opponents at once. Elfball is the secondary path, using Lathril, Warmaster, and token makers under anthem effects to win through combat. Underrealm Lich, Ripples of Undeath, and Fauna Shaman keep the yard stocked. There is no true hidden commander; Thranduil Sindarin Liege and Lathril act as supporting legendary Elves in the 99.
