Her Most Pious Beater by SirMadScientist

Format: Commander

Commander: Geist of Saint Traft

Bracket: 2

DeckCheck Threat Index: 21

Deck overview

Geist of Saint Traft is the deck’s reliable starting point because the commander zone provides access to a hexproof attacker that creates a temporary 4/4 Angel on every attack. The deck then improves that attack with evasion from Steel of the Godhead, Spirit Mantle, Artful Dodge, or Rogue’s Passage, while Angel payoffs such as Giada, Font of Hope, Righteous Valkyrie, Lyra Dawnbringer, and Court of Grace build a larger board. Lifegain supports Luminarch Ascension, Resplendent Angel, and Valkyrie Harbinger. The plan is resilient against some targeted removal, but it is slow, combat-dependent, and short on tutors and card flow. Interaction is present but competes with expensive threats. The deck can pressure one opponent and generate a strong Angel board, yet it does not reliably convert that pressure into a fast table kill or a total lockout.
