Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Midrange strategy centered around Edea, Possessed Sorceress, utilizing creature theft, extensive clone redundancy, and combat attrition. Edea steals opposing creatures at the beginning of each combat, granting haste to apply immediate pressure while triggering card draw whenever those borrowed creatures die. A deep suite of shapeshifters—including Phyrexian Metamorph, Clever Impersonator, and Spark Double—allows the deck to scale dynamically with the power level of the table. Sacrifice outlets such as Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Tower convert temporary stolen threats into mana and card advantage, while asymmetric payoffs like Don Andres, the Renegade and Garland, Royal Kidnapper grant massive combat buffs to unowned creatures. Defensive coverage from Kira, Great Glass-Spinner, Lightning Greaves, and free countermagic protects key pieces while goad mechanics from Kardur, Doomscourge whittle down opposing life totals.
