Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity 5-color cEDH combo-control build using Child of Alara as a board-clearing deterrent. The primary win condition is the compact, format-defining pairing of Thassa's Oracle with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact, capable of closing the game on Turn 3. It runs a fully optimized five-color mana base composed of original dual lands, fetch lands, and format-ceiling fast mana artifacts like Chrome Mox, Mox Diamond, and Mana Vault. An elite tutor suite guarantees fast, consistent access to key pieces, while Underworld Breach with Brain Freeze and Lion's Eye Diamond offers a redundant, equally fast secondary win path. The interaction suite is dense and efficient, featuring premium free countermagic such as Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Deflecting Swat, backed by Silence and uncounterable removal. When pressured, reanimation spells allow Child of Alara or combo creatures to loop from the graveyard, maintaining resilient table control.
