Deck overview

This deck is a Simic +1/+1 counters midrange deck commanded by Zimone, Paradox Sculptor. The primary game plan accelerates mana on Turns 1 and 2 with efficient mana elves, land search, and rocks, deploying Zimone on Turn 4. Zimone immediately distributes +1/+1 counters at combat, setting up exponential growth. On Turn 5, Zimone taps to double counters on key permanents, supercharging threats like Mossborn Hydra, Kami of Whispered Hopes, and Bristly Bill, Spine Sower. By Turn 6, the deck presents a lethal must-answer board state. Evasion enablers such as Herald of Secret Streams, Garruk's Uprising, and Emil, Vastlands Roamer allow massive creatures to bypass opposing blockers, eliminating opponents one by one across Turns 6 through 8. A dense suite of low-cost protection spells, including Heroic Intervention and Tamiyo's Safekeeping, shields key pieces from removal, while targeted aura enchantments neutralize opposing commanders without needing stax pieces.
