Deck overview

This Mardu deck is a Vampire tribal aggro-aristocrats list piloted by Edgar Markov. It utilizes Edgar's eminence ability to generate 1/1 Vampire tokens for every Vampire spell cast, rapidly establishing overwhelming board presence in the early turns. The deck leverages tribal lords such as Stromkirk Captain and Legion Lieutenant, alongside token engines like Charismatic Conqueror and Bloodline Keeper, to scale its wide board. It translates creature volume into lethal damage through combat buffs and mass life-drain triggers from Sanctum Seeker, Malakir Bloodwitch, and Vein Ripper. Additionally, the deck includes a compact infinite combo with Exquisite Blood paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror. Resilient protection spells like Teferi's Protection and Dawn's Truce safeguard the swarm against sweepers.
