An Unexpected Party by user6452946

Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thorin, King of Durin's Folk leads a Boros Dwarf-treasure deck that turns every Dwarf ETB into a Treasure while transforming artifact-token volume into raw power. Magda acts as a hidden secondary commander: she triggers on tapped Dwarves, generates Treasures, and sacrifices five to tutor artifact/Dragon finishers such as Hellkite Tyrant. The deck's primary plan is a wide - but pumped - combat kill using Anointed Procession, Academy Manufactor, and Xorn to multiply token count; alternative paths include Hellkite Tyrant's 20-artifact alternate win and Dain of the Ancient Halls' mass damage. The commander's role is both engine and anthem: without Thorin, the deck loses its best ETB-treasure and artifact-token pump, though Magda and equipment keep it playable.
