GoW (When Kratos Used to Kill People) by JesseBright0

Format: Commander

Commander: Ares, God of War

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Rakdos deck uses Ares, God of War to attack with creatures that are meant to die and return them to hand for repeated use. You pressure the table with hasty, self-sacrificing attackers such as Ball Lightning, Rot-Curse Rakshasa, and Impetuous Devils, while death triggers from Zulaport Cutthroat, Syr Konrad, Garna, and Kardur drain opponents and draw cards. Treasures from Pitiless Plunderer, Mahadi, Goldspan Dragon, and Professional Face-Breaker ramp you into larger demons and keep cards flowing. Sneak Attack and The Fire Crystal cheat or copy threats. Ares is a repeatable recursion engine, not a combo piece, and the deck wins through incremental combat damage plus stacked drain rather than an infinite loop.
