Deck overview

An Esper discard-matters Zombie engine built around Hashaton, Scarab's Fist. The commander converts every discarded creature into a tapped 4/4 Zombie token for {2}{U}, while looting effects keep the hand full of fuel. Token multipliers such as Anointed Procession, Mondrak, and Ojer Taq exponentially grow the army, and reanimation via Living Death and Animate Dead makes the board sticky. Victory comes from overwhelming combat with evasive, anthemed Zombies or a drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel. The Scarab God and Varina, Lich Queen act as powerful backup generals in the 99, but Hashaton's cheap, repeatable activation is the central reason the engine works.
