Deck overview

This is an Abzan lands-matter midrange deck helmed by Thalia and The Gitrog Monster. The plan is to ramp hard, stack extra land drops, and convert every landfall into tokens, drains, and card advantage until the board overwhelms the table. The commander accelerates that plan with an extra land drop each turn, a mild stax blanket (opponents' creatures and nonbasic lands enter tapped), and an attack trigger that sacs a permanent to draw. Primary wins come from go-wide landfall armies-Scute Swarm, Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths, Maja, Bretagard Protector-backed by ping/drain engines like Ob Nixilis, the Fallen, Iridescent Vinelasher, and Retreat to Hagra. Graveyard land recursion (Splendid Reclamation, Aftermath Analyst, World Shaper, Ramunap Excavator) turns one big reclaim into a lethal landfall turn. The deck is grindy value, not a fast combo kill.
