Deck overview

This deck is a Bant stompy and +1/+1 counters deck helmed by Helga, Skittish Seer. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Helga on Turn 3, followed by a steady chain of creature spells with mana value 4 or greater and variable X-cost Hydras. Each qualifying spell triggers Helga to draw a card, gain life, and grow in power, transforming her into a potent mana engine. As the board develops, the deck transitions into a lethal threat by casting massive beaters such as Koma, Cosmos Serpent, Ghalta and Mavren, and Bonny Pall, Clearcutter. Evasion enablers like Herald of Secret Streams and pump spells like Overwhelming Stampede translate this overwhelming power into lethal combat damage across the table. While the deck boasts strong card draw velocity and mana acceleration once active, it relies heavily on creature combat and lacks countermagic, making it vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers.
