Deck overview

This Golgari deck is commanded by Witherbloom, the Balancer, utilizing wide creature boards and token swarms to drastically reduce the casting cost of its commander and all instant and sorcery spells. By deploying early mana dorks, multi-body token creators, and low-cost utility creatures, the deck establishes 5+ creatures by Turn 3–4. Once Witherbloom enters the battlefield for just {B}{G}, massive high-mana sorceries such as Tooth and Nail, Plague of Vermin, Breach the Multiverse, and Cabal Conditioning cost as little as one or two colored mana. The deck converts this immense mana velocity into instant victories via Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Warren Soultrader, and game-ending Torment of Hailfire or Finale of Devastation casts. It defends its development using asymmetric stax pieces like Collector Ouphe and Opposition Agent, culminating in a compact, lethal Turn 4 storm finish.
