Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls by Sereus

Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos group-slug/punisher deck helmed by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The primary plan is to choke the table with incremental life-loss effects-from Manabarbs and Sulfuric Vortex to Underworld Dreams and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse-while the commander itself draws cards and grows with each opponent's first life loss each turn. The deck's most explosive win condition is the infinite-damage loop of Chain of Smog + Professor Onyx, but it also packs a secondary mill combo via Mindcrank + Bloodchief Ascension and can grind out wins through attrition. A dense tutor suite, fast mana, and a handful of free interaction spells ensure the deck can assemble its game-winning lines at a competitive pace.
