Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain aristocrats engine commanded by Amalia Benavides Aguirre. The strategy pairs low-cost lifegain permanents like Soul Warden and Guide of Souls with Amalia to trigger repeatable explore actions starting on Turn 2. Exploring filters the library, guarantees consistent land drops, and stocks the graveyard with high-synergy low-mana creatures. The deck leverages an exceptionally low mana curve dominated by 1- and 2-mana spells, backed by redundant mass reanimation spells like Raise the Past, Return to the Ranks, and Rally the Ancestors. As creatures flood the board and enter or die, drain engines like Blood Artist, Cruel Celebrant, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim deplete opposing life totals. Additionally, the list houses a compact infinite loop using Chthonian Nightmare and Priest of Gix for infinite mana and death triggers. While highly resilient to board wipes thanks to cheap recursion, it remains vulnerable to targeted graveyard hate and ETB-prevention stax.
