Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir tempo-burn strategy helmed by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. It exploits the Commander ninjutsu ability to circumvent commander tax, cheating Yuriko onto the battlefield as early as Turn 2 using a dense suite of evasive 0-drop and 1-drop creatures. Once Yuriko and supplementary Ninjas connect in combat, her trigger weaponizes high-mana-value cards like Draco, Blinkmoth Infusion, and Stratadon to deal massive, symmetric burn damage to all opponents while refilling your hand. The deck maintains tempo with cheap and alternate-cost disruption such as Snuff Out, Submerge, Foil, and Misdirection. Because the deck operates on very little mana, it ignores ramp in favor of raw card velocity and topdeck manipulation spells like Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Insidious Dreams, reliably finishing off the entire table around Turn 6.
