Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Jeskai Human kindred aggro strategy commanded by Aragorn, King of Gondor. The central game plan focuses on establishing early creature pressure with efficient token producers such as Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, and Éowyn, Shieldmaiden. Once Aragorn enters the battlefield, he crowns you the monarch, which turns his attack trigger into a universal 'creatures cannot block' effect for the entire turn. Backed by anthems like Shared Animosity and Flowering of the White Tree, this unblockable clause converts moderate token armies into lethal strikes. A robust defensive shell featuring Mother of Runes, Pippin, Guard of the Citadel, Selfless Spirit, and premier countermagic protects the crown and the board from disruption. While vulnerable to heavy board sweepers and dependent on maintaining the monarch, the deck delivers overwhelming combat inevitability.
