Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves leads a classic Golgari Elfball deck that aims to go wide with cheap Elves, generate explosive mana, and finish opponents through combat or direct life loss. The primary plan is to deploy a swarm of Elf tokens and mana dorks, then leverage lords, overrun effects, and the commander's own activated drain ability to close out the game. Key synergies include the Heritage Druid + Priest of Titania engine for giant mana, Shaman of the Pack for a one-shot drain, and Beast Whisperer for repeatable card draw on creature casts. The deck can also recover from wipes with Patriarch's Bidding and Tyvar, Jubilant Brawler. While heavily reliant on its tribal engine, the deck has redundancy in token generation and multiple ways to pivot between combat and life-loss victory.
