Deck overview

This Orzhov list is a combo-control deck built around the tension between Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar and Noble Heritage. Shadowheart is the primary draw engine, sacrificing large creatures at instant speed, while Noble Heritage grows those creatures with +1/+1 counters and grants protection from any opponent who cooperates. The main finish is Heliod, Sun-Crowned plus Walking Ballista; fallback lines are Exquisite Blood with Sanguine Bond or Vito, and Mikaeus with Triskelion. Stax pieces like Archon of Emeria and Drannith Magistrate slow opponents while Necropotence and Ad Nauseam fuel the hand. Sephiroth is a useful secondary sacrifice/draw engine, not the centerpiece.
