Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck is led by Baru, Wurmspeaker, focusing on tribal synergies and colossal creature beatdown. The primary strategy ramps aggressively in the first three turns using traditional mana dorks, land-fetch sorceries, and cost reducers like Urza's Incubator. Once established, the deck pivots to deploying towering Wurm creatures that trigger card-draw engines like Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond. Baru acts as both a tribal lord—granting +2/+2 and trample—and a late-game token generator. The deck overwhelms opponents with sheer combat power, utilizing damage multipliers like Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, and wide overrun effects like Return of the Wildspeaker. While the deck boasts high mana velocity and rapid hand replenishment once online, it possesses minimal stack interaction and is vulnerable to well-timed board wipes. When uninterrupted, it reliably closes out games around turns 7 to 8 through overwhelming combat pressure.
