Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Sultai Big-Mana and +1/+1 counters strategy helmed by Zaxara, the Exemplary. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating mana on turns two and three to deploy Zaxara on turn four, transforming every subsequent X-spell into both a high-impact spell and a massive Hydra creature token. The deck leverages powerful mana multipliers such as Unbound Flourishing, Elementalist's Palette, and Nexos to generate massive pools of mana. These resources fuel decisive game-ending outlets, including direct life drain via Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate, or unblockable Hydra combat waves supported by Herald of Secret Streams and Garruk's Uprising. Additionally, the deck packs an accessible infinite mana combo utilizing Freed from the Real on Zaxara. While vulnerable to early spot removal on Zaxara and sweeping board wipes, the deck's high density of interchangeable X-spells, scalable draw engines, and resilient counter distribution ensure robust late-game inevitability.
