Format: Commander

Commander: Kardur, Doomscourge

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kardur, Doomscourge is this deck's attack-deterrent and drain engine: once he enters, everyone's creatures are forced into combat against each other, and every attacker that dies chips the table. The primary plan is a grindy forced-combat/value game: goad opponents, use death payoffs such as Blood Artist and Syr Konrad, and recur Kardur with Animate Dead, Conjurer's Closet, and cheap blinks/pump tricks. The backup/surprise path is a compact Dualcaster Mage/Twinflame infinite-token loop assembled by Final Parting or Lively Dirge. There is no true hidden commander, but Syr Konrad, the Grim acts as the closest thing to a backup drain commander, while Gisa, Glorious Resurrector turns enemy deaths into fodder.
