Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Ninja tempo and burn engine piloted by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary game plan deploys cheap, evasive one-drop creatures on turn 1 to enable Commander ninjutsu on turn 2, cheating Yuriko directly onto the battlefield while bypassing the commander tax entirely. Once active, Yuriko turns every unblocked Ninja combat connection into table-wide direct life loss and card draw by revealing high-mana-value spells from the top of the library. Topdeck manipulation tools such as Sensei's Divining Top, Scroll Rack, and top-of-library tutors reliably stack massive cards like Shadow of Mortality, Blightsteel Colossus, and extra-turn sorceries to burn all three opponents down simultaneously. The deck supports this aggressive pressure with efficient 1-to-2 mana countermagic, targeted removal, and secondary ninjutsu engines. While vulnerable to early creature sweepers and combat denial, Yuriko's unique ninjutsu ability provides near-instantaneous recovery, maintaining constant pressure until opponents are eliminated.
