Kovu v.9 by ImperialRose

Format: Commander

Commander: Witch-king of Angmar

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black Witch-king deck is an attrition-driven Wraith swarm. The primary plan is to trigger the Ring as often as possible through Call of the Ring, nine Nazgul, and Inherited Envelope, so each Wraith accumulates +1/+1 counters, then finish with large evasive beats. Secondary paths are reanimator value through Haakon, Whip of Erebos, Reanimate, and The Soul Stone, plus incremental drain from Twilight Prophet, Crypt Ghast extort, and Starscream's monarch trigger. Witch-king himself is a defensive removal and regeneration piece rather than an engine. Starscream is the hidden commander; both faces matter, but the deck is built around the front face's monarch drain and evasiveness, with the vehicle back face providing haste and conversion.
